How to Solve Inaccurate Touch Caused by High and Low Temperatures of Touch Monitors in Industrial Applications
1.Adopt an industrial-grade capacitive touch main controller supporting wide-temperature operation from -40℃ to +85℃. The chip is embedded with a real-time temperature calibration algorithm, which can dynamically correct the capacitance offset of ITO wiring according to ambient temperature. It prevents reference capacitance drift caused by temperature rise and fall, fundamentally eliminating touch jumping points and coordinate deviation.

2.Low-temperature-coefficient ITO substrates are adopted and processed via high-temperature annealing technology to reduce the temperature drift coefficients of resistance and capacitance of ITO thin films under temperature fluctuations.Instead of common float glass, ultra-white borosilicate glass is selected. It resists deformation during high-low temperature cycling and maintains stable conductive parameters, so as to avoid touch failure resulting from circuit deformation.

3.The touch flexible cable is equipped with a copper foil grounding shielding layer to restrain circuit impedance fluctuations and electromagnetic interference under high and low temperatures. The FPC adopts high-temperature resistant PI base material together with low-temperature bend-resistant reinforcing film, which will not crack at low temperatures or soften at high temperatures, effectively eliminating intermittent touch failures caused by poor cable contact.

4.Adopt G+G glass-to-glass full lamination with wide-temperature OCA optical adhesive resistant to temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 90℃. It eliminates the air gap between the display screen and the cover glass, preventing stress extrusion on ITO circuits caused by thermal expansion and contraction of internal air during alternating hot and cold environments. In contrast, the frame bonding structure is prone to cover warping and abnormal touch contact resulting from temperature-induced deformation.

5.Low thermal conductivity heat-insulating foam is attached to the inner side of the touch screen module to block direct cold airflow from the device interior to the touch panel, preventing local sudden temperature drops from exceeding the operating temperature threshold of the chip

6.Thermal conductive copper sheets and thermal insulating mica sheets are mounted on the back of the module to isolate radiant high heat from the furnace, preventing the touch IC from abnormal operation and frequency derating under high temperatures. A breathable pressure relief valve is reserved on the equipment cavity to balance internal and external air pressure and avoid negative pressure inside the cavity caused by temperature differences, which may pull and damage the touch panel.

How to Solve the Problem of Continuous Attenuation in Touch Sensitivity Caused by Dust for Touch Displays
1.Adopt a long-lasting double-layer AF coating with a SiO₂ base layer plus fluorinated top layer. The surface features superior oil and water repellency. Cutting fluid, engine oil, printing ink, emulsion and other liquids bead up and roll off the cover glass instead of spreading and adhering. Dust can hardly stick and accumulate on oily surfaces, significantly reducing dirt buildup in gaps.

2.The surface achieves a water contact angle of ≥110° and an oil contact angle of ≥70°, delivering excellent anti-dust adhesion and anti-ink-staining performance. Daily cleaning can be easily completed by gently wiping with a lint-free cloth, eliminating the need for repeated scrubbing with alcohol or strong solvents.

3.Adopt the G+G glass-to-glass full lamination process, which completely removes the air interlayer between the display screen and the cover glass, fundamentally preventing dust, oil stains and water vapor from penetrating into the inner touch sensing layer through peripheral gaps of the screen. By contrast, frames-bonded screens tend to accumulate dust and ink residues within the bezel gaps. These contaminants gradually corrode ITO circuits and contaminate optical surfaces, resulting in touch drift and continuous degradation of touch sensitivity.

4.Integrated full-wrap silicone sealing bezel is adopted around the screen. Combined with the overall IP65/IP67 protection rating, it blocks dust and splashed cutting fluid from invading the module interior via the frame. This prevents leakage of FPCs, touch ICs and ITO circuits caused by oil contamination erosion, which would otherwise lead to degraded touch sensitivity and intermittent touch failures.

5.Industrial-grade anti-pollution capacitive touch IC is adopted, which enables stable collection of capacitive signals even when thin layers of oil contaminants or dust adhere to the touch surface. The firmware is equipped with an oil stain adaptive threshold algorithm to automatically compensate for capacitive attenuation caused by contaminants, preventing gradual degradation of touch responsiveness during long-term use.

6.High-alumina silicon tempered cover glass is selected with secondary chemical strengthening treatment, delivering a surface compressive stress of ≥700MPa and far superior resistance to acid and alkali corrosion compared with ordinary glass. It can withstand splashes of acid-base cleaning agents in food workshops, weak acids and alkalis in chemical environments, printing ink thinners, as well as hardware cutting fluids, preventing whitening, atomization and devitrification of the glass surface caused by corrosion, which would otherwise lead to reduced light transmittance.

FAQ
Q1: Why does the touch sensitivity keep decreasing in industrial dusty and oily workshops?
A1: Frame-bonded touch screens have gaps around the bezel, allowing dust, cutting fluid and ink residues to seep inside, corroding ITO circuits and causing continuous touch attenuation. Our G+G fully laminated structure plus all-around silicone sealing fundamentally prevents contaminants from entering the touch layer.

Q2: How does your touch display avoid inaccurate touch under extreme high and low temperatures?
A2: We adopt industrial wide-temperature touch IC with built-in real-time temperature calibration algorithm, matched with low-temperature-drift ITO material, wide-temperature OCA adhesive and thermal insulation structure design. It effectively restrains capacitance drift and eliminates touch jumping points and coordinate deviation within -40℃~85℃.

Q3: Is the touch glass resistant to industrial corrosive liquids such as cutting fluid and acid-base detergents?
A3: Yes. The cover glass is high-alumina silicon glass with secondary chemical strengthening, surface compressive stress over 700MPa. It can resist corrosion from weak acid, weak alkali, ink thinners and metal cutting fluid, avoiding glass whitening, fogging and light transmittance reduction.

Q4: Is frequent cleaning with alcohol required for the touch panel covered with oil and dust?
A4: No. Our double-layer long-lasting AF coating delivers a water contact angle ≥110° and oil contact angle ≥70°. Liquids bead and roll off the surface. You only need a lint-free cloth for daily wiping without alcohol or strong solvents.

Q5: What protection level can your touch module achieve against dust and liquid splashing?
A5: With integrated full-wrap silicone edge sealing, our touch monitor reaches IP65/IP67 protection rating. It can effectively block dust and splashed industrial liquids from invading the module to prevent FPC and touch chip leakage and intermittent touch failures.
